Experience That Shapes My Work

My name is Andrea Krajačić, and throughout my professional and personal journey, I have sought to connect knowledge, practical experience, and a deep understanding of each individual as a whole. As a mother of two daughters and someone deeply devoted to family, I strive to bring that same warmth, care, and dedication into my daily work.

Within our team, I am often more than just a leader. I am someone people describe as the “team mom” – a person who builds relationships based on trust, openness, and a sense of security.

I graduated in Physiotherapy from the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb in 2008. I then continued my education through a specialist postgraduate program in Neurophysiotherapy in Rijeka, where I earned a Master’s degree in Neurophysiotherapy.

Driven by a desire to gain a deeper understanding of movement and its connection to the brain, I enrolled in a doctoral program at the Faculty of Kinesiology in 2021. After three years of study and successfully completing all required examinations, I am currently in the final stage of my doctoral studies, focusing on my doctoral dissertation.

During my studies, I began training in the concept of normal movement, which later became the foundation upon which I built my professional knowledge and clinical experience.

My professional path was further shaped through my work at Goljak Special Hospital and SUVAG Polyclinic (2012–2017), where I worked with children with hearing and speech impairments, as well as adults with balance disorders. During this period, I completed training in the Verbotonal Method and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), which further expanded my understanding of communication and human development.

Through work in private clinics, professional associations, and volunteer activities, I gained extensive clinical experience, which ultimately led me to co-found my own clinic in 2017.

Education and Work with Adults

At the same time, I have actively developed my work with adult patients. I have completed professional training in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), dry needling, and kinesiology taping.

Through DNS in particular, I further confirmed my core philosophy – that the body retains developmental movement patterns and that these patterns can be used to understand and treat pain, regardless of age.

I have a special interest in the connection between the brain and movement, which led me to pursue training in the Othmer Method of Neurofeedback (both basic and advanced levels).

Today, I also share my knowledge as a lecturer at the Neurofeedback School organized by the Croatian Association for Neurorehabilitation at Sveti Duh University Hospital. I am the author of several scientific and professional publications and am listed as a researcher in the CROSBI database. Alongside my clinical and scientific work, I am actively involved in the education of future healthcare professionals.

I serve as an external professional associate in the Physiotherapy Program in Ivanić-Grad and collaborate with the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb. At SILAB Clinic, I participate in the education of physiotherapy and occupational therapy students, sharing practical knowledge and clinical experience.

Education and Work with Children

In my work with children, I have further specialized through the Bobath Concept (2017) and Advanced Baby Bobath Training (2019). For more than ten years, I have been applying Ayres Sensory Integration® principles in the assessment and treatment of children with sensory processing difficulties.

I am also committed to supporting parents through education and guidance, which is why I participated in the creation of a practical guide to child development.

My Approach to Patient Care

In my work, I do not separate children from adults, nor symptoms from the person experiencing them. My approach is based on understanding each individual as a whole, where movement, the nervous system, emotions, and everyday life are inseparably connected.

Whether I am working with a developing child or an adult facing pain and physical challenges, my goal remains the same: to identify the underlying cause, empower the body, and restore balance.

I believe that the combination of knowledge, experience, and a personalized approach is what truly makes a difference in rehabilitation. It creates an environment where patients feel seen, understood, and supported throughout every stage of their recovery journey.
