Our Story
SILAB Polyclinic is a centre for neurology, physical medicine, and rehabilitation, bringing together an interdisciplinary team of specialists dedicated to the rehabilitation of children and adults, as well as early intervention for neurodevelopmental difficulties.
SILAB began its work in 2017 as the SILAB Association and has operated as SILAB Polyclinic since 2023. The founders, Ivan Horvat, Andrea Krajačić, and Tomislav Krajačić, shared a vision of creating a place where rehabilitation would be accessible, modern, and focused on the real needs of patients.
At the time of its establishment, there was a significant shortage of comprehensive rehabilitation services and early intervention programmes for children with developmental difficulties in Croatia. Public institutions were overburdened, therapy waiting times often extended for months, and access to modern rehabilitation equipment was limited. This inspired the creation of a centre that combines professional expertise, an interdisciplinary approach, and modern therapeutic methods.
Poliklinika Silab
From the very beginning, SILAB has focused on neurodevelopmental difficulties, sensory integration, and early intervention. In our therapeutic practice, we work with children who experience motor and sensory development challenges, difficulties adapting to new environments, or various developmental conditions. Early intervention at SILAB begins in the earliest months of life, as we believe that development starts from birth.
The name SILAB originates from the term Sensory Integration Laboratory, reflecting the centre’s core philosophy – understanding the development of the nervous system and providing support through modern rehabilitation approaches.
As the needs of patients continued to grow, SILAB gradually expanded its team and introduced new therapeutic methods. A major milestone was reached in 2023 when SILAB Polyclinic became one of the first healthcare institutions in Croatia to introduce robotic rehabilitation devices. This technology enables more intensive and precise therapy programmes and serves as a valuable complement to conventional physical rehabilitation.
Today, SILAB Polyclinic brings together an interdisciplinary team of physicians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists who collaboratively design rehabilitation plans and therapeutic programmes. Our approach is based on a combination of professional expertise, modern technology, and personalised care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
Our Facilities
Our Facilities
SILAB Polyclinic is located in the western part of Zagreb, in the Črnomerec district, providing rehabilitation services for patients of all ages – from infants and children to adults requiring physical rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation.
Our facility at Gradišćanska Street 36 is organised into two specialised departments: a paediatric rehabilitation department and an adult rehabilitation department. This structure allows for more effective therapy planning and a highly individualised approach to every patient.
The clinic is equipped with specialised therapy rooms for sensory integration, neurofeedback therapy, and one-on-one treatment sessions, as well as advanced rehabilitation equipment and robotic technology that enables more precise, intensive, and measurable therapy programmes.
In our daily practice, we combine conventional therapeutic approaches with advanced technology, creating an environment that supports accurate assessment, continuous progress monitoring, and real-time therapy adjustments.
